A Segway PT is the perfect way to experience a tour in Tampa Bay, Ybor City and beyond! You can effortlessly glide around your favorite area or explore somewhere you’ve never been! Serving the entire Tampa Bay area, Electric Glide Tours is located in the quaint and historic district of Ybor City Florida, also known as Tampa’s Latin Quarter. The Segway PT is a revolutionary device that senses your body’s needs and reacts to move you through space and time while you explore your interests. After a short tutorial and instruction by your trained tour guides, riding a Segway PT will become second nature.
Guided tours leave from the Centro Ybor location on 8th Avenue or if you book a specialty tour, we’ll bring the tour to you! Use the map at the left and zoom in or out to find our location on 8th Avenue just below the Muvico in Centro Ybor. Or take the trolley! It stops right in front of our location.
It’s not called the “Cigar Capital of the World” for nothing! Come and experience history, culture and folklore in the one-and-only, Ybor City. The sights and sounds of Ybor City are second to none! Glide through the city and you’ll encounter a true American melting pot experience. The Cuban, Spanish and Italian Clubs are just a few of the stops on our tours.
Ybor City was founded in 1886 by Don Vicente Martinez-Ybor when he decided to move his cigar factory from Key West Florida and the rest is history. Steeped with culture, colorful characters and even some mystery, murder & mayhem, you’ll enjoy your historical experience while gliding through the streets past cigar factories, original casitas, and the home of the original pressed Cuban sandwich!
Our machines are state-of-the-art Segway i2 and x2 models. The i2 model is designed for metro use on paved streets and sidewalks. The x2 is engineered for more of an “off road” experience. All tours begin with safety instruction and a hands-on instructional course. Our goal is to give you a safe, fun experience during your time with us.
